Sung Yeon is the executive director of National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF). Prior to NAPAWF, Sung Yeon was the director of organizing at Interfaith Worker Justice leading collaborative work with various partner organizations, unions, and faith communities in the economic justice movement. Sung Yeon has also worked in the AAPI community as a community organizer in Chicago where she organized a pan-Asian coalition for presidential and mayoral elections, immigration reform, the state budget, and redistricting.

Sung Yeon is a first-generation Korean immigrant who came to the U.S. to study Political Science and Urban Studies at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, and earned an M.Div from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Sung Yeon is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Sung Yeon is the board treasurer of Hana Center, a Korean American Immigrant Rights organization in Chicago.
